Here in Ireland, I was up until after midnight, constantly refreshing Mary's Hotline page making sure that everyone got in safely. Also checked the other sites, yours was the best.
I have watched the race for many years now. I went online for the starts, which for me were at 3.00pm. Then again about 10.00pm for the finishes. I loved the year of the beach cams. I watched Gerard Loos's Tiger rear up in one shot and saw it turtle in the next. The following shots showed them drifting in to the beach. I followed the action as my old (or should I say young) friend Peter Cogan, the only Irishman I know who sailed the race, was trapped under the cat and was rescued by the crowd on the beach.
Well done Mike and everyone who took part in, and covered the 2002 Worrell 1000.
