F16 Forum,
First of all, thanks goes to all whop have helped me over the last 2 years,...Wouter, the Aussies, the USA I-17's and the I-17 from the UK..
...here is the last update.
Last weekend, Feb 14,15 & 16,..was our St. Croix International Regatta.
The Cat class was down,..here was the line up in the open non-spin class
-I-20
P19MX
N 5.8
FX-1( pulled out)
I-17normal
H-16
First, the H16 was from Puerto Rico,..they sail a 16 like few others,..nothing stops them ( they won the regatta too)
Weather - 18-20 mph
Waves 2-3 foot rollers ( a few 4-5 thrown in for surprizes)
Day one
- had wrong sail up,..main sheet set wrong,..,.put up Ullman 150 s.f.Pentax main
UPWIND - beat H-16, N5.8 tp upwind mark
Day 2
Upwind - Beat H-16, P19MX, N.58 to mark 5 out of 5 races
Day 3
upwind - BEAT I-20, P19MX, N5.8, H16 to mark
So, the result is,..on real time,...boat for boat,..no rating,...the Uni beat all the mentioned boats on a 1.75 upwind leg.
To me,...this is an amazing feat.
Once again, bravo to this Forum for its' help!
Regards,
Bruce
