Hi Folks.

I hope every one is well and getting wet.

The bulkheads have been cut out at last, and are now ready to be installed in the hulls.

This was the easiest part of the project so far, but has taken the longest to get done. I'm back on track.

Regards TJ

Hi Eric

As you can see there is a lot of bouyancy down low.

There are a lot more suttle differences from the Taipn, I would love to post more TOP SECRET photos , but I would have to come over and rip your modem out.

Regards Tony Jenkins

I know this is late, but I have only recently dicovered the F16 forum. Just wondering if the bulkheads buckled a lot when you pushed them into place with all the cutouts you have made. This is a tortured ply design right? did you weigh all the cutouts, how much weight did you save?
btw it's looking nice, good job

Hi Lando

It was a while ago, Yes I did weigh them but I don't remember the weight, and my notes are filed away as was the project it self.

I don't recall them buckling, attention to detail and a lot of fine sanding makes for a nice snug fit.

As it happens,I have recently started a job with Gurit (SP Systems) and having my hands on so many carbons, aramids, fillers & resins has given me the bug to once againg start working on the Blade.

I pulled the two uncompleted hulls out of the rafters the other day, and I did notice that I had used way too much resin, glass & filler, to mount them in. Some more sanding to come.
I have made contact with Phill and I hope to get started again very soon.

Regards TJ
