Yachts & Yachting a sailing magazine out of the U.K. does a great job of covering the hobie scene in Europe.Recent issuses have included the Hobie 16 as the featured class,a great profile and interview with Gavin Colby and a look at the advantages of the one rudder up, upwind technique
I've just got hold of this months issue and it's got a review of the hobie twixxy in it. 14 foot with a spinnaker! It gets a pretty good report and is cheap as well.
the Oct 10TH issue has a great profile of Gavin Colby. I am not sure on the date of the one rudder up discussion. If interested i will look up or give summary of discussion

Tom Baird of the Youth Group took them. Check out photo albums I posted a few there. He probably has lots more, from both the GEP and the racing. If he sends more I'll pass them on. With his permission, of course.

Larry Hale a Scout Master centers his Boy Scout Troop around racing H16's.
We were first exposed to them 3 years ago when Susan did a GEP down at St. Georges Is. Back the the boats were all rebuilt and kind of beat up. Larry seems to have ralleyed the whole community down there and now many of the boats are sponsored by local businesses and are new or in very nice shape. Susan has gone back to St. Georges Is. and has said that the hospitality and enthusuiasm is unparalled anywhere else. I have met the Scouts and this year had the priviledge of helping with the GEP in P'cola. The kids are terrific and just seeing there excitement and steady improvement on the water is more than enough to get you re-excited about racing the 16.
This year we had one of Larry's teams in the A-fleet and they were quite fast! ] Scout Sailing page
