Oops...Mary, sorry but you are talking about the "Ol Perpetual Motion Machine". Wind generator on your car-- it isn't that easy. the Engineers and Physicists will be on you talking anbout entropy and enthalpy and the Second Law of Thermodynamics until you are blue in the face.

Its better to think about burning fatty oils in your diesel bus. The fellows who actually do this take the oil home and clean it up- you really have to get the Freedom Fries bits, chicken beaks and claws out of it first.

Well, it wouldn't be a perpetual motion machine, but it certainly would help to prolong battery life and, therefore, potential driving distance, wouldn't it?

And then if your battery ran down because of sitting forever in a traffic jam, you could resort to pedaling, which is my backup invention. One would think it would be possible, with the right gearing. (I am visualizing a cartoon for all this.)

Mary, nice idea about the car but happens if you need to drive to a downwind destination and have no apparent wind for your generator. (Maybe a combo electric/sailing car!)
