Does anyone know of a Genniker rig that would suit the Dart 16, in the USA? We have a sailor who is located in Western New York State - Lake Erie and is looking to fit a genniker to his boat. The sail is around 13 square metre and the pole is 2930mm long and 38mm diameter. Is this already used on other American Catamarans, so it could easily be adapted to the Dart 16.

Over here in the UK, we have a growing fleet of Darts with the genniker rig, where the sock is mounted along the pole similar to the Tornado,F18 and Hobie set ups.

However I understand that Laser do not market the Dart 16 anymore in the USA, so obtaining their equipment is not possible.

If you can help, or point us in the right direction, I would be able to pass any information on.

If I were to guess, I would bet the spinnaker for the Mystere 4.3 would be about right. It has a snuffer rig also. you might try buying it from them.
