Here are some pictures of the new 14 and 1 of the mast being spliced.

Keep in mind that this boat is tiny. Those hulls are only 8 in wide. When you put it up beside a Marstrom A-class, its like putting an A-class agaist a Tornado

Looks pretty good Carl. What is the material of construction? What does it weigh? That (3x2?) rear beam looks pretty solid for a 14. Do you have any pics of the side elevation? Where is the front beam located along the length? I don't see fin cases for dagger boards. Did you build off a plan?
Sorry about all the questions

Construction- The boat is strip planked cedar with kevlar inside and glass outside. There are composite bulkheads at the beams and 2 in foam at other locations. The hulls were built in halfs

The best guess on weight is 175 lb. The main problem is the beams. Those beams are 4.5x5.5 in They were designed as light, large cross section beams for an unstayed rig. The rear is ok but the front is heavy. When I switched to a stayed rig for the f14 I just had to beef it up and it is very heavy. I will probably build a new one next winter.

The mast is about 4.5 ft aft of the bow. It was designed around a skiff type rig. Lots of mast rake and a long spin pole

This boat was a from scratch design. Everything except the mast was pretty much custom built

There are dagger boards. They are 17x90 cm NACA 1010

If you have any more questions let me know

Are there any pictures of it during the construction process? Especially duing the strip-planking process.
