I'm a recreational cat sailor (H21 sport cruiser). Is 'Catamaran Racing for the 90S' the best book for improving my skills and becoming a better sailor...I checked it out at the library and may buy it.

Also, is the tell tale placement recommended in the above book the best for a recreational but wanting to improve sailor?

Thanks, Doug

Yes, that's the best book on the market, bar none. The telltale placement is hard to beat - think about it: Racers want their boats set up the simplest way possible without giving up speed. They want to sail as efficiently as possible, as much of the time as possible, and they want the best performance they can get. Just because you're cruising is no reason not to sail well. Good luck!
