Anybody have one of these. How do you thread it. All my attempts so far have resulted in crossed lines. The person I bought it from said it was a 7:1 purchase, but I have it rigged as a 8:1.

Thanks,

I use the Murrays Catalog from about 4 years ago that has our 8:1 system shown in it. Ours is four in a row block as the top block. I looked at Murray website and didn't see your configuration, you may be able to find it in an old catalog.

yours looks correct to me, you will always have some lines crossed because you have to come back to the center to exit the block.

I've attached photos of my stock Hobie FX-1 block&tackle. Not exactly the same, but maybe it will help.

Not the same as yours, but the Harken web site has illustrations of 6-1 and 8-1 main sheet set ups.
http://www.harken.com/blocks/taclpwr.php

It might steer you in the right direction...

Bob

Mike,

Looks fairly similar to mine, I have just rigged it so that the top and bottom blocks (when under some tension) are running aprox 90 degrees apart

I also have all the 'outside' turns before the inside turns and then finally to the top of the cleat to tie off :
