Let's try this one more time with a little added sailing!

Mother Nature did not look favorable on us for the Pensacola Beach Multihull Challenge and Trident Series conclusion last week end. Apparently July 17th was not the right day. So, we are coming back with even more planned sailing. Capt. Kirk and Key Sailing have graciously agreed to let us reschedule our regatta and combine it with their running of the Mayor's Cup August 7th -8th. This means two days of sailing, distance racing, and bouy racing, with three sets of event trophies being awarded at the conclusion of these races. One week end, two regattas, one entry fee. The regatta will be run out of Pensacola Beach's Quientwater Beach. Entry fee includes both regattas, and cookout on Saturday afternoon.

If the first day is predicted to be good weather, we will run the distance race and bouy races on the second day. If bad weather occurs the first day, for safety precautions, we will race bouy races and stay close to shore and the race site, ready to head for cover if bad weather moves in. Hopefully, the weather will have improved the second day to allow the distance race. The distance race and bouy races will be run on consecutive days. Both of these races will be scored for the Mayor's Cup.

The Pensacola Beach Multihull Challenge will be for the distance race only, and tropies will be awarded to the classes for that race. This race will also be scored to determine the final results of the Trident Series.
