The results of the recent Hobie rulling are that all of the fleets that I know of in the gulf coast have left the hobie association, found their own insurance and continued to hold their regatta's without advertizing hobie. Was that the intended result? Does Hobie not care about us southerners?

Who cares what Hobie cares about? This is the best Hobie news I've heard in a while, and yes I live on the Gulf Coast.

Each yearly subscription to Catamaran Sailor magazine includes a yearly NAMSA membership fee, I believe. Not that I have any clue what I'm doing with my NAMSA membership...

NAMSA is still organising, the sanctioning document is ready, membership lists are being developed, divisions are being created and other activities are taking place.

Post NAMSA questions on the NAMSA board to gey specific answers.

with Hobie in at least 10 years, maybe more

EG this is nothing new. Fleet 70 in OS has been dead for 10 years, as have the fleets in New Orleans.

One rebel to another,
Is there any reason we cant also be part of CCC? add it to our t-shirts(TS)?

I am interested in recreating the Redfish Reach, any reason we cant do this under CCC (1/2 insurance). It is a rebel run anyway, from TCD to RR to TMHR and back to TCD, it crosses the ship channel twice so not for novice sailors.
What ya think?
