This sail area difference certainly has been the crux of the difficulty in getting this Class started . <br> My understanding is that the U S is without the mast . <br>-This controversey may turn out to be a blessing in disquise and allow us the opportunity to form a more open inclusive flexible set of class rules.<br><br>

I know at the Curacao regatta last year the US I20 sail was matched to the Dutch I20 and found it larger. The Americans were upset because it then got a 'faster' texel rating, which in these conditions (25knots+) was definately not true. WF can definately comment on this. Matt Mayfield<br><br>
