I'm on the fence....a lot of contributing factors but I hate to let one pass so close by without attending.

Actually - I just settled the variables and I take that back. I'll be there!

Don't you guys forget that the Outback Cup is happening at the Columbia Sailing Club in Columbia, SC the weekend before PRC! It's only a 3.5 hour drive away from Tybee Island. The catamaran contingency at this regatta has been building strongly (It might have something to do with the thick Outback steaks and free flowing beverages) and we're expecting more this year. The F18 class is very strong in this area and we should have at least 6 to 9 local F18s (Tigers and Nacras) at this regatta even if none of you folks show up. There are also normally a few Nacra 20s, several Supercat 20s, G-cats, and the normal Hobie contingency in attendance. This has been primarily a monohull regatta in the past but we are coming close to outnumbering them. The club is very welcoming to catamarans and have built a sandy beach for us. Come warm up for the week with us, get fed well, and lets caravan down to Tybee Sunday night!

Couldnt have said it better myself. 36 cats last year, hoping for 50 this year, 100 boats total. Good warm-up for Tybee, Jake and I will be there as rivals on the new F18's, then teaming up for Tybee.
The RC 30 will be there for rides all weekend too, come on down. RV's welcome, plenty of camping and a great beach.

Dave, An F18 too?! Did you sell the 20? What did you guys decide on for 18's? The Tiger looks similar to the Nacra to me, am I right? My congrats! Any time one gets a new boat it's pretty exciting! Brian

Good it be a reason that the F18 worlds are in the USA in 2006 ?

That would be reason that would make alot of sense

Hey Brian,
Yeah the DLW went to Texas, and a new F18 is on order, should picjk it up in 4 weeks.
The new Tiger is pretty cool, but the lines on the NACRA are smooth and clean. Not to mention its $1000 cheaper.
Im looking forward to sailing with the F18's, its a growing class here in the Carolinas, I think about 15 boats in my general area(SC, NC, Ga., Va.).
BTW Its still going to be hard to be impressed with any boat after sailing on the I20, now thats a machine!

After a survey of local F18 owners, looks like we will have a good showing of F18's for the Outback Cup. Register now and lets keep the count growing.
