This is pretty well covered in the Houston area, but there may be a few of his friends around who haven't heard, or don't know about the memorial. Anyway, several mostly-Houston-area catamaran sailors are going to meet at the Texas City Dike on Saturday, October 16, in memory of late catsailor and gentleman O'farrell Rogers, who lost a short but valiant struggle with brain cancer two or three weeks ago. I'm not sure if his ashes will be scattered at that time, but there will be a "missing man" sail-by with beachcats, and a wake/bbq/party on the beach, in the style he would have loved.
