Hello all... Just purchased a new tiger. When it arrive it had a few pre realease problems, now after trailering it twice the bottom of the hulls are indented quite badly. I Know the first thing your going to say is the trailer is the problem but the trailer has carryed the previous boat around the country for two years with now problems. Has anyone else had any problems with soft boats?.

Just to clarify this for the reader, was the previous boat also a Tiger? I only ask this since using the wrong hull cradles with any of these newer F18's can cause some severe hull dents. I know since my trailer came with the wrong cradles and I ended up with some real nice dents in the hulls of my Inter 18.

Obviously, if your previous boat was a Tiger, this is not the problem.

Wish you luck.

If you have the rollers on your trailer you need to make or get some hull cradles. The newer boats are made with a foam core and are very strong but dent easy. If the cradle is too wide it seams to be ok. I have had I20 cradles on my trailer and cat trax for several years with different boats and have not had a problem. You also need cradles on your cat trax.
What area do you sail in and are you going to race or just sail for fun ?

Thanks for your replys. The trailer is recomended by the manufacture. A friend who has the same trailer and purchaed his boat at the same time has no dents at all, after travelling to the same event.... Its an interesting one. Had discussions with my local Hobie rep and I can't say much at the moment but it'll be interesting to se where it all ends up.
