I was quite disapointed to see that the NAHCA rejected Nigel's slate at this years meeting.

As a NAHCA member I was impressed last year when Nigel, at his Spring Fever Regatta, encouraged (strongly) everyone becoming a member of both the Performance Cat and Hobie Cat Associations.

From my limited experience, most catsailors have sailed one or the other of Hobie/Performance Cat boats at one time or another, and would continue to sail either in the future as one class became attractive to them over another.

Hopefully Nigel, or someone interested, will come up with a "catsailor" class organization that can supercede the bounds of any one manufacturer. It would seem to be in the best interest of the sport, if not one manufacturer, to work towards the most inclusive membership to maximize participation and standardization in regattas.
