Posts: 248 Colorado | I want to move the swivle cam cleat and guide eye for the main traveler from the traveler car, to the center of the rear crossbar on my Hobie 20. This setup is used on the H16, H17, Getaway, Inter 20, Nacra ... etc. I talked to Matt Miller from Hobie Cat today and he couldn't tell me if it was class legal or not. I checked in the class rules and couldn't find anything that definitively prohibited it.
Does anyone know if this modification is class legal?

Posts: 833 St. Louis, MO, | In my opinion it would be class legal. It seems no different than changing to a cascading downhaul which we all did. It's been common practice in the H20 class to allow changes to rigging and blocks per owners preferance. I'm in no way an authority to say do it but you have my opinion.
