Hey guys, finally the weather became warm enough down in florida to take my Prindle 19 out. After many attempts to get the mast up, I took the time to make sure all the wires were not tangled and that did the trick. Also, the jib haylard must have been old because it broke on me while raising the jib so I went under Main only. I would assume the boat would have been noticably faster with the jib? I also need to figure out how to control mast rotation because when sailing up wind with the sail almost in the middle line of the boat, the mast rotator would be facing 90 degrees to the sail, which im sure wasn't helping my speed. All in all the boat was pretty fast even with little wind it would glide along the water.
Thanks,
pete

Hey UCFsailor,

we have a lot of sailors down here, as well as fleets in Cocoa, daytona, tampa, etc. I live in "the wood" (longwood) about 15 min or so from UCF. Many of us once owned P19s (including me), and we still have some racing, so we could be of some help tuning etc. We also have an 18-2 set up on a lake in town we joy ride around. Love that 19 on a reach. Merry x-mas. JC

hey, im originally from Bradenton, just south of Tamps, and thats where the boat is at. I have a little work to do to the trailer before i take it to Orlando but that is the plan. It is supposed to be in the high 70's later this week and im planning on taking it out again.

thanks,
pete
