I keep my 16 on a trailer near the water and have access to a gradual ramp. I took it out for the first time after 6 months of restoration last week. The trouble is I am required to hand launch it. With two people this is possible, but much more difficult to drag the boat out of the water with just one. I am wondering if Cat Trax would make this easier. Do many people launch with Cat Trax on a ramp solo? What is the best way to get the boat out of the water solo on a ramp? Thanks

I frequently launch my Hobie 18 with cat trax on a concrete ramp. I then tie up to a dock and do all the sail raising etc. Retrieving I do the inverse. Lower the sails at the dock then slowly put on the cat trax. It's a little slow of a process, but it's doable.
