Currently I’m looking for the main sail battens for my N6.0.
I found this company www.rbsbattens.com they make epoxy and carbon tapered battens.
The manufactures told me that their battens were used for Nacra 450, 500, 570.

Any suggestions whether they are good battens for N6.0

Thanks

Kris

Talk to Randy Smythe. He spec'd out some after market battens for my 6.0 a few years back. They significantly improved the performance of the mainsail. They middle 3 were somewhat similar to the stock battens. The top 3 were somewhat more flexible. The bottom 3, particularly the bottom 1, were much stiffer.

Or send me an email if you still have questions.

I would recommend that you consider going to your nearest performance cat dealer....I can't remember the brand name on the battens, but you could run into some one-design issues if you're concerned about it (not sure if that is in the rules or not).

With all reality, however, I've been really impressed with the latest battens that Performance catamarans are using. I had an old, 1997 set in my 6.0 sails and ordered new battens when I replaced the sails (I think about $330 for the battens?) and they're tough and well made. The F18 sails use the same brand.

Our local sail maker spec'd RBS for our new main and jib. He has sailed with us three times to tune them, customer service! The first set were to stiff in the front third or so of the batten. The set we have now look great. We have the epoxy model for all of them except the diagonal batten for the square top which is carbon. If you would like to talk with him, PM me and I'll give you his number.
