The NOR for the TBCSI Macho Man Regattas April 9-10, 2005, is posted on the TBCSI (Tampa Bay Catamaran Sailors Inc.) web site.
http://www.tampabaycatsailors.com/nor's.htmThese distance races are not for the faint of heart. The Macho Man starts from DIYC (Davis Island Yacht Club) in the north corner of the bay near Tampa Florida and ends at the Dunedin Causeway near Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. Down the bay, through the Skyway Bridge, and up the coast for about 54 miles (short line on the water). This trip ends up to be about 65 to 75 miles of sailing depending on the wind directions. TBCSI is pleased to have this race be part of the Endurance Sails Series. Check it out at
http://www.1design.net/ Day two is the TBCSI Mini Macho Man which starts and ends at the Dunedin Causeway. Around some islands etc. and back. The course and distance depends on the winds and direction but will end up to be about (3) three to (4) four hours of racing.
Great regattas to test your skills and in a beautiful environment. The finish line through Hurricane Pass.
