We are starting a Slovenia A-class association. Several new people are buying Bim2000 class boats.

One, wants to start the season with the Rick White Seminar in April in Florida. He needs something similar to an A-class for the seminar. Catnips, A-cats, H17s, Nacra5.5U, etc. In return he can either pay cash for charter or offer in trade his Bim2000 for some other a European Regatta (We are located near Lago Di Gaurda-- Italian/Austrian boarder). Can anyone help soon? He needs to organize tickets immediately.

Marko has good racing experience as crew and skipper on Trapese Dingys (Fireballs) and Keelboats(J24, Elan33,etc). He sailed my A-cat several times last year: trapese no problem, righting after a capsize, etc. He needs something between a Wave and a totally tweaked out A2.

(He should have his own Bim2000 by the time of the class; however, shipment to/from Europe is not a reasonable possibility from what I understand)

Matt

I think a totally tweaked out A2 is not to much to ask for.

Unless he asks to charter yours for a seminar.

Mary,

I would like to sail it first. I have been anticipating it all winter!

How long till you are "promoted" from Pooh Bah to Carpul Tunnel? Wow, that is a lot of posts!

Is your question leading into a dumb blonde joke?

Back to reality. Matt called and asked me about whether there might be Catnips available to charter for the seminar. Catnips are old, wood A-Class boats. He said he thought he had seen some on our beach at Rick's Place after a Miami-Key Largo Race, and he thought there were some in the Keys.

Do does anybody know of any Catnips anywhere in Florida? I can't remember ever seeing a Catnip in person. Probably did but didn't know it. Gordon, is yours a Catnip?

Mary,

I didn't think I was leading to a dumb blonde joke, however, I love dumb blonde jokes. Which joke came to mind? I don't see how it could apply to you...I have never thought of you as "dumb", blonde but not dumb!

My question related to number of posts...1600 to get to "Pooh Bah", and 2500 to get to "Carpal Tunnel". I was pretty excited when I got past 50 posts!

Mary, Mary, Mary, Tsk, tsk! Never seen one indeed. Now cast your mind back through the years....

You have been seeing a pix of the little wooden Catnip on my thumbnail for a while (look to your left). Mine was the white one with the blue stripes on the beach at Tradewinds 2000. They let me sail with the A-cats & I drifted slowly through about half the A-class fleet in the drifter race. But then I went sailing around with the hydrofoils after the race was over in marginal foiling conditions.

I pretty sure remember asking you and Rick if you guys wanted to try the hydrofoil adventure. OK, maybe you were stuck in the office daytimes for the whole TW. Anyway, it would be great for Rick's class, but here I am 400 miles away up in Gainesville...
