Posts: 5,558 Key Largo, FL & Put-in-Bay, OH... | Back to reality. Matt called and asked me about whether there might be Catnips available to charter for the seminar. Catnips are old, wood A-Class boats. He said he thought he had seen some on our beach at Rick's Place after a Miami-Key Largo Race, and he thought there were some in the Keys.
Do does anybody know of any Catnips anywhere in Florida? I can't remember ever seeing a Catnip in person. Probably did but didn't know it. Gordon, is yours a Catnip?

Posts: 371 Michigan, USA | Mary,
I didn't think I was leading to a dumb blonde joke, however, I love dumb blonde jokes. Which joke came to mind? I don't see how it could apply to you...I have never thought of you as "dumb", blonde but not dumb!
My question related to number of posts...1600 to get to "Pooh Bah", and 2500 to get to "Carpal Tunnel". I was pretty excited when I got past 50 posts!

Posts: 805 Gainesville, FL 32607 USA | Mary, Mary, Mary, Tsk, tsk! Never seen one indeed. Now cast your mind back through the years....
You have been seeing a pix of the little wooden Catnip on my thumbnail for a while (look to your left). Mine was the white one with the blue stripes on the beach at Tradewinds 2000. They let me sail with the A-cats & I drifted slowly through about half the A-class fleet in the drifter race. But then I went sailing around with the hydrofoils after the race was over in marginal foiling conditions.
I pretty sure remember asking you and Rick if you guys wanted to try the hydrofoil adventure. OK, maybe you were stuck in the office daytimes for the whole TW. Anyway, it would be great for Rick's class, but here I am 400 miles away up in Gainesville...
