If any of you are planning to come to the Rick White’s Sailing Seminar April 17-22 in Key Largo, please let me know right quick, because I have a block of motel rooms that I can’t hold much longer.

This annual spring beach-cat seminar has been nicknamed “the boot camp,” and rightly so, by former seminar participants, who number in the thousands. It is an intensive, five-day race-training seminar, including at least five hours a day of on-water drills, PLUS teaching videos, lectures, chalk-talks, and videos of your performance during the drills. You will be busy each day from breakfast at 7:30 a.m. until the end of the last lecture at 7:30 p.m.

It’s a great way to get yourself and your boat tuned up for the sailing season.

You can find most of the information about it at www.sailingseminars.com.
Call Mary at 305-451-3287 or e-mail me at mary at catsailor dot com.

P.S. If you are a Hobie 16 sailor who would like to attend but cannot bring your boat and don’t have a crew (or are a crew yourself), I have someone who is coming from Michigan with a Hobie 16 and needs a sailing partner on his boat.

Mary,

Who's the person coming from MI? Where specifically in MI?

(Just looking for potential fleet members)

Matt

If they are from the west side of the state I'd like to give them a call.

Hi John,

Mary got back to me via PM and it's one of our existing Fleet 276 members who lives in Brighton (between Ann Arbor and Flint). He doesn't come to may fleet functions because of the distance.

Hey Matt,
It isn't the drive, that's easy.

It's getting time off work that's the problem. Change Fleet events to Monday/Tuesday and I'll be there every time! You could also lobby Congress to shut down the National Airspace System on weekends. If you go that route, try to get Christmas also!

John, you trying to recruit me or interested in doing the class?

Dan

Dan,

If you were on the west side of the state I would invite you to race with us on tuesday nights. (still can if you want to but it would be a bit of a drive)

John
