I am trying hard to go. Just trying to work out the family logistics. I didn't see you on the list Robi. Did you register already? Are you doing the Bug light race next weekend? I'll be there with my wife.

First race on the Blade?

This is pretty much a straight shot South, through the Card Sound Bridge and then to the North end of Jewfish creek, right? Do you think I need a GPS or is it easily navigable by just going South?

I'll be sailing solo, so if anyone needs a crew or to crew I'm open for now. I'll be dropping off my registration tomorrow.

Let me know.

Fred, I would be more than glad to crew for you, BUT there is one issue I need to resolve with my boat, and medical. So as of right now, do not count on me. I will let you know ltr down the road.

GPS comes in handy to get you going towards the bridge before it comes into eye sight.

Both sustained injuries? or medical for the boat? heh! Sure thing Robi, if the spot's still open at race time you are welocme to come. Let me know.

Eric, sounds like a good argument to go out and buy one. It could be dangerous without one.

I can guarantee you do NOT need to buy a GPS to do the Miami-Key Largo Race. (Unless you are just looking for a good excuse to buy one.)

You just listen for the sound of Jimmy Buffet music and head for it.

Darn Mary! I had almost convinced myself it was necessary. I even had a friend offer one and I said "no, I don't want to drop it in the water, should probably get one myself"...

Now I don't get to buy one..........

Sorry Robi, spot taken. A friend confirmed a little while ago. Be glad to crew with you or have you crew with me in the future though.

Take care

No worries Fred, its better to have a confirmed crew than a "on the fence" crew.

Plus I am sure I will have to drive up to Titusville to take my boat up to Matt McDonald.

Mary,

Just let the guy get a GPS... every boy needs one these days. It is cheaper than a Porche.

It's okay -- a lot of men are uncoordinated.
