Posts: 62 s. cackalacky | Okay, I don't have any of the bells and whistles that Rick does, but I do have to justify my presence and occupy my time during the all the hours of the day on this trip, so I'll be hooked up via Wi-Fi on Jake's laptop submitting updates and photos intermittently. I'm mostly going to talk about my boys, SailMax I and II. I'll apologize in advance for any overlap or contradiction in reporting. It's beautiful outside and I've already uploaded my report for today so I'm going to go hang around with the boys now. There's no place I'd rather be...well almost. Here's a link to the home page: SailMax.biz Click on Live Updates; Photo Gallery to follow. Look forward to seeing everyone out there! | | | Re: Tybee updates on Team SailMax.biz

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | Actually Bonnie is doing the http://www.sailmax.biz site with only some sporadic techical assistance from me. I've spent the last two days re-rigging the boat (and really need to get to bed now)! She's doing a spectacular job with the reporting, photos, and commentary!

Posts: 2,718 St Petersburg FL | One recomendation for the SailMax.biz folks. The photos are all going towards the right of the computer screen, then when I click on a photo I have to manually scroll back to the left. It is an annoyance, nothing I can overcome, BUT it would be nice if the photos were wrapped so there is no right to left scrolling. Other than that kickass job~!! What screen resolution are you running? I'm not seeing that effect on my PC.

Posts: 62 s. cackalacky | Sorry you were having trouble. I agree that the slideshow format might have caused problems for some viewers for a couple of reasons. However, that's been remedied now. I actually prefer the montage layout anyway. I will be down on the beach for the launch today to take more photos. If you read my update then you know it's supposed to (at this point, still) be a water start for the "Race for the Line" down to Fowey Rocks Light in Miami, but I should still get some nice shots of them leaving the beach. Thanks so much for checking in and for your comments! | | | Re: Tracie...and Jake

Posts: 62 s. cackalacky | Tracie, I knew that Tracie was talking about the graphics! And I don't think that Jake was fishing for a compliment on my behalf with his effusive comments but I'll say thanks anyway to both of you. And Jake has been very helpful, especially considering all he has to do, getting me started and answering questions about a program that I've never really needed before but which is quite nifty (Thumbs Plus). It's going to prove invaluable for use batching photos during this event. | | |
