Just got home. Long, no wind. I believe only 4 boats finished under the allowed time. I think an RC27, SuperCat, A-Cat that I know of.

I hope you have some dependable info to base this on Robi. We shouldn't create rumours. As F16 sailors (and class) what we say must be true and dependable always. Making false claims and starting rumours is a sure way of shooting ourselfs in the foot in a big way.

So I really hope that your statement is true.

Wouter

Robi,
The smileys don't give it away. I thought those were smiles of victory.

And what is "smack talk"?

two smileys with a wink, can be picked up as sarcastic.

the other smiley with the tongue out, can also mean sarcasm or making fun of.

Smack talk means, when someone is talking something that is NOT true, or in exageration.

"I will beat everyone out on the race course with my F16" that is smack talk, its NOT true, its also an exageration. A lie, a rumor but in a humerous way. That is my definition of smack talk, maybe someone else can chime in.

Plus MY COMMENT did not come across as a F16 representative, MORE like ME, Robi just a sailor that sails for the fun of it.

Chillax fols

Okay, now I get it. You were being sarcastic, meaning you don't think there is any chance that an F16 could have won it? I didn't think of that.

Not really thinking that Matt could NOT have won it, but I did the same thing for Delray Drag race. After a few days, it was known that Matt McDonald did in fact win it.

I want him to win, I have his same exact boat.

Smack talk is used to instigate:"The boat is good but they only won because of the Portsmouth system we used in the Delray race".I want you guys to keep winning so your P-number keeps climbing .Unfortunately you and Wouter are gonna ruin my evil plan and the damn number will keep falling.Im doing my part on my Mystere to get my number down . SMACK ATTACK

Mike Tierney/Rich Brew/Skip Canfield won the race on their RC-27. I believe, but cannot confirm that only two other boats officially finished. Those boats were a Supercat 20 (Loyd Berry?) and a Marstrom A Class with spinnaker (Brent?). Bill Roberts was next at 8:15 pm but was not scored because he missed the 6:30 pm cutoff at the Shands Bridge in Green Cove Springs. We were about 30 seconds to a minute behind Bill but elected to not round the turning mark and sail through the finish in order to get in before sunset. There were maybe a dozen boats that made the 6:30 Green Cove cutoff but did not make the 8:15 finish cutoff. There were only two boats (that I could tell) that did not make the 6:30 cutoff but could have or did finish by 8:15.

I have seen less wind and hotter temperatures during past Mug Races, but have never seen the wind stay so light for so long. The wind never peaked above 5 kts until around 6:30 pm. Most of the time it was just strong enough to make the slightest ripple at the bow and provide a slight indication of movement. The wind that we did have varied from NNW to S.

Have I entered an alternate reality or something?

I can't believe that wouter just critisized one of his own class members and said
"As F16 sailors (and class) what we say must be true and dependable always.
Making false claims and starting rumours is a sure way of shooting ourselfs in the foot in a big way."
I am used to him making bizarre, unrealistic claims followed by cryptic, illogical calculations.

Of course there is nothing unusual about him treating HIS class members like children.

The next thing you know pigs will be flying south for the winter.
