I'm setting up a boat to test out a few thoughts and ideas. The boat is an I20. I'm taking a little longer stick and setting the boat up as a uni. Next step, the headsail.

What are your guys thoughts on these items. Which is better. A snuffer setup or a hooter? Please post your thoughts as to why also please.

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

Each sail has it's pro's and con's, and wind direction sweetspots. Presumably your rig came with the chute. I'd use that first as it is an awesome aym. cut. I now use one on my Nacra 6.0, and keep up with and/or beat 6.0's with 350 sq ft chutes. Where are you in Texas?

What try of boat? I went with a roller furling reacher on my Hobie 17. Portsmouth numbers look VERY good. You can use Rick's idea for a 1:2 purchase to furl reacher quick. Send photo when sail is here.
