Evening Folks:

I am almost ready to start sailing on Lake Michigan (water temp 44 degrees)....in my dry suit; so I need to find out which neoprene gloves folks would recommend. Anybody have any experience using the "Lobster" type neoprene gloves for sailing?

I would like to find an insulating glove which also gives decent rope grip...anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Paul

I would rather be sailing, than reading about sailing!

On this site we have the following: DaKine full finger, not really warm
But the following sound best for you: Cold weather Gloves

Sailing Angles make great gloves, but I have never tried these:
Sailing Angle Neoprene backed

And Thunderwear has the following:
Thunderwear full neoprene

Or just look at the directory.., there are any number of products that might do the job.

Good luck,
Rick

I've got some Gill Neoprene gloves that are great for cold water sailing. Used them this winter on the ocean.

Also work pretty well for handling the spinnaker sheet on the I20... you can put a couple more wraps around your hand.

get some thick ones, then wear the orange lobster gloves over the top to protect your gloves and get a better grip. The orange ones are $2.95 at Wal Mart
