Was finally able to get the Vectorworks sail beb site up on the net. We have a lot more information to add yet, but now I have the place to put it.

Why hasn't vectorworks paid for an ad like the other companies?

I think Sam was just trying to help us out. I always need advertising for Catamaran Sailor, as anybody who subscribes to it can plainly see. And this website needs advertising to pay for its existence.

No I dont think his intentions are to help you out Mary. I am sure he is taking a stab at another argument. Seems to me he is good at that.

Robi, perhaps your experience with Sam in the F16 Forum may make you think that, but Sam is a big catamaran sailing backer and fan and am sure he was just relating what Mary and I keep thinking.., someday maybe the magazine and this website might actually start paying for themselves.
Not happening thus far.

We do have some really great advertisers, however, and sincerely hope that everyone of you patronizes them.
Thanks
Rick

We all know that it was not a helpful response and we have seen that Mary/Rick used it to make a point that they think is important. So what.
It is all psychology :-)

Bob, I don't have a clue what you are talking about. Are you suggesting that manufacturers and suppliers should not advertise in my magazine? Or are you suggesting that I just stop publishing the magazine altogether?

Thanks for the encouragement, because it wouldn't take much to encourage me to quit.

Mary,

Sounds to me like he was encouraging you to start a TV show on Fox SportsNet Florida.

The guy's name is John Greviskis. I've seen it a few times. Not a bad show, but lots of powerboat and fishing stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Turn that frown upside down! .If you do a Tv show instead of a Magazine then you won't have to worry about people like F16 society sneaking little ads in without loss of revenue. Conky Joe TV proudly presents: Catsailing forever! Go with it Mary...
