This particular post will be the 4976th post on the Formula 16 forum.

Probably in the next week we are going to pass the 5000 posts line. And probably the 650 threads line as well. With 5000/650 = average 7.7 posts per thread we can assume that the discussion is lively on our forum.

In the 4 years from mid juli 2001 to start of juli 2005 we have clocked up 5000 posts and 650 threads in this forum. On average 24 new posts and 3 new threads per week ! And that for the duration of 4 years. This has put us in second place of the most active www.catsailor.com forums. (the H16 forum is trailing us by a good 400 posts but is a good 3rd in the listing)

I don't know who will get the 5000th posting, but I will open up a bottle when this threshold has been passed and reflect on the past 4 years of our existance. And then my mind will drift to the future.

Onwards to the 10.000 !
