As the all-out record for a East to west atlantic passage stands currently at :
Plymouth – Newport two handed transatlantic E to W 2800 Jun-94 Primagaz T 60 18.29 Laurent Bourgnon & Cam Lewis SUI 9d 8h 5m 20s 12.49
And for the same strecht of water (Cadiz - San Salvador)
Cadiz – San Salvador 3884 Feb 03 PlayStation C 125 38.1 Steve Fossett USA 9d 13h 30m 18s 16.92
Both times are faster than Colville's time.
The Eurosport webpage has no info on the record.

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | It was actually the Route of Discovery single handed record that Joyon had previously set with the no-longer IDEC trimaran. Cheyenne set the crewed record for that run a bit ago. The record was broken on the Orma60 Tri "Sobedo". http://www.sodebo-voile.com/
