Tried to raise it using the same tech that I used on my 5.8, but the ball is to low and it doesn't lock in. Finally laid the boat on its side and attached. Is there another way?

Hi Jon,, I have put up Ht masts before and the were stepped the opposite direction i.e. from the front of the boat vs that back of th boat like other beach cats. Give that a try.

Did you buy one?

Thanks, I had thought I had seen it done, but wasn't sure about it. Since I was pretty much doing it alone, and had the room I just opted to put it on its side. I am pretty excited about it as I have been waiting for the prices to drop and finally got one to sail with my son (10 yo) and daughter (7yo) on our little lake, and maybe go race it a bit with them or my wife. Now if I can just find a snuffer and not loose the halyard up the mast (forgot to tie it!)

Jon
