I'm all caught up in the amazing Google Earth software. In searching the world for catamarans sitting out in view, I looked for Wouter's yellow boat, "Big Bird". Most of the Netherland coast is in low resolution but due west of Amsterdam and just south of Zandvoort I found this view.
Since the photos were taken from overhead the vertical nature of masts and sails is lost. However, most photos are taken in the morning so if you look for shadows you see an image of the height. Look on the beach and you'll see what might be a cat but the shadow definitely looks like a mainsail (maybe). This photo is posted very low res and not zoomed in.

Actually, you are looking at my cat club, situated at Zandvoort.
You are actually looking at our boat parking area. On the right of the picture are all beach catamarans. Although the only seem to be halve of the total number. So the picture is either taken at the very beginning or at the very end of the season or right after one of the big storms of 2004 when halve the harbour was covered under a layer of sand.
The orange dot is a inflatable bouy and the yellow dot behind it is our start/finish vessel. A 90 HP outboard fishing speed boat. This boat is surrounded by old seacontainers that hold our tractor and all out exquipment like anchors and the race committee booth. Right to the north-north-east of this grouping you see the top of our two story club building. The white dots are stacked plastic chairs that sit on our 1st floor terras. My boat isn't visible, it is either covered or it was away to some event at the time.
Here you see the same club from a horizontal perspective.
Funny,

You can see the port hull of Wouter's boat in the picture of he and I at his club, down and to the right side of the picture. There were about 50 cats there the day I visited and some were missing, gone to Texel. They have their own bar in the clubhouse, with Heineken on tap!

When I was there last year I think all those boat parking spots were full. I must say it is a fantastic feeling to walk down onto a beach with somethng like 80 cats sitting there with their mast up just waiting to go. Also I found the people at Wouter's club are very friendly made us feel very welcome. Love to go back one day.

Is this your Katwijk sailing site? Where EXACTLY were you standing? I'll try to zoom in as close as your photo. I think I see your boat. Are those Ronstan blocks I see?

The cat club of Katwijk is a bit more too the left. There are no cat's on the picture.
You are pulling my leg, this must be the Sahara.
See: www.skuytevaert.nl There is also a webcam on that website. Perhaps 150 cats and some fishing boats on the beach. They drink Heineken and Chocomel in the kantine (members only). For those who are interested in these matters, a tin of Heineken will cost you 2 euro and a tin of Coke 3 euro.

Sorry, at a second glance I see you were right. This picture must be made in april. As you see the club is still preparing to build up the temporary housing. For some reason they always start with building up the canteen or clubhouse, well let's call it the bar. First boats arrive usually in the first week of may.
