What are the components used in that... thingie?
Main-hull, 470? Sail looks like a Hobie 16, but the skegged outriggers have me beaten.

Something tells me that this is not a scaled down ORMA 60..

The photo distorts the scale. I think it's a Melges 24 with Nacra 500 hulls for the amas. And Jake, you think the sail area is too small? What you can't see is the 50 foot mast!

Just a guess, but, the main hull looks like the 470 I used to race before I learned about catamarans. But a few things have been added, like expanded **** and something that overlays the foredeck and supports the mast. The amas look like Nacra 450 or 4.5 hulls. It doesn't look like a production boat, just one put together from pieces from the two boats mentioned. I would expect that the rig and sail come from the Nacra.

The combination would provide a boat even my wife would enjoy going out on. It looks more comfortable than the catamaran by having seating in the **** and some protection from spray. It would sacrafice some performance due to added weight. Both would be "good" things from her perspective. It doesn't look like set-up and take down would be as good as a cat, but it might make a fun boat for those that have "mast up" storage.

This is what happens when monohulls are allowed to breed with catamarans. It's a crime against nature.

Make sure to keep your cat "covered" when you're not around to supervise it.

What can you do, a catamaran is a sexy beast and if its lonely on the beach, It just might put up with the attentions of a mono.

It looks like it uses "shared lift" technology. Do you have a picture of it in 4th mode?
