Hey Gang,

Here's the August Treasurer's Report (YTD figures are in parentheses).

Gross Income:

New Association Memberships: $0.00 ($50.00)
New Individual Memberships: $0.00 ($280.00)

Total Income: $0.00 ($330.00)

Expenses:

Catamaran Sailor Subscriptions: $0.00 ($225.00)
Checking Acct. Service Fee: $5.00 ($40.00)
Office Supplies: $0.00 ($25.10)
US Sailing Membership: $0.00 ($100.00)

Total Expenses: $5.00 ($390.10)

Net Income: -$5.00 (-$60.10)

2004 Carryover:

Transfer to Rick: $2,000.00
Memberships: $499.15

Grand Total: $2,439.05 (Money In Checking Acct. $439.05)

Membership Numbers (YTD change is in parentheses):

10 Board (0)
71 Individual (-87)
21 Multi-Year Individual (0)
1 Chapter (1)

As you can see, our membership has dropped off sharply. This can be attributed to a lot of expired memberships. The next update from Mary should boost our numbers again.

Treasurer

Hey, Bob, why don't you talk this up more at Fleet 61 events. I wouldn't want to impact the Hobie Fleet membership but there may be some people, like myslef, willing to support both. Beach cats are now invited to sail in the Dillon Open and it could be a great way to get NAMSA members to visit the mountain division for some racing. Last year 120 boats turned out for the Open - without multihulls participating. With Fleet 61 and NAMSA showing up, we could easily push that number to 150 and beyond, and get NAMSA some recognition.

Hey Steve,

Good point. Maybe it's time to bring it up again. I brought it up a couple of years ago at a board meeting and was slam dunked by the powers that be.
