Have you considered the G-Cats? They have symmetric deep V hulls with no dagger/centerboards. They're supposedly at least as efficient as round bottom/daggerboard boats.

You might look at a Mystere 5.5 or They have pivoting center boards so if you hit something they kick up. There's a used one for sale on the Mystere web site. There will be one for sale here locally soon.
