Hey seajay, glad you went for the inter20. Which boat did you get? Might have been my old one with the special fold up mast! [see link] It won the nationals at your club

Bring back iF20 - best boats around!

I have one of those "fold up masts" N20 masts at home. Not sure what to do with it. I was thinking I could have a sleave placed in it and become usable again.

Barry, the mast will become stiffer where you sleeve it, so getting the luff curve on your mainsail (and trimming it) correct will be difficult. It depends on how competitive you are, wether it's worth the effort.

Now, the spi on the picture... Is that to the max size for the I20, or is it a bit shorter in the foot? Looked really good.

Hi Paul
Glad you put something on the forum. Yes I am the now proud owner of "Kiss this". I'm glad to say the mast is in one piece!
I had tried to contact you via a mobile number Ron Bentham gave me, but it didn't work. The reason being I am completely new to Formula 20 (my old boat is a Prindle 19). I got your ex boat as two hulls and beams, a mast and a big bin full of everything else!! It was very late in the season when I got the cat, so haven't put it together and got on the water yet. I was wondering if you were in the vicinity of Llandudno at some time, whether we could meet up and you could show me how you rigged it. There are lots of bits I can't just get my head round.
I am itching to get out on her and have a mega blast!!

Chris

I have a new mast for the boat. I am just looking at making a current "worthless" mast section usable for someone that is looking for a lighter mast for their current boat and make a few $$ in the process.
The spinnaker is max size for the N20 class.

What happened to it, it was looking good the last time I saw it. Someone said that it was going cheap on e-bay.
I will be up to Phwelli for the F18/hobie nationals at the end of August. But pretty much rooted to the south coast most of the time.
I think that you can e-mail me off of this site if I can be of use

Paul

Which prindle 19 did you have, mine was 596 - hope that you are not getting all my cast-offs!

Hi Paul
My Prindle sail number is 649.
Maybe I can sort out the way some of the things should be rigged on the Nacra by email correspondance, if you are happy to do that. I'll try contacting you via the private message system on this Forum.
Good photos by the way.
Kiss this is in pretty good shape, I got all necessary repairs done soon after I bought her.
I remember the cat Nationals at Llandudno well. I was crewing for Jon Jenkins on his Nacra. I think we came 7th overall.
Whereabouts on the south coast are you?

Chris
