Hi
I am going out to Perth hopefully in January for a couple of weeks. I am hoping to get an opportunity to do some cat sailing / crewing on the lovely Swan River.

Is there anyone out there that can give me any local knowledge of the area, e.g friendly sailing clubs to visit, hire centres etc?

On the bank of the river at south perth foreshore.. Across the river from the CBD are hire cats.. 12 footers.. the water isnt deep but they can be fun..
The cat club on the river is the Nedlnds Yacht Club.... A family club so very friendly.. Sailing is sat afternoons and Sunday afternoons..

Fantastic! Thanks guys.Can't wait to get a bit of sun and sailing! I'm going out there to weigh up whether to move permanently to Perth with my family....The sailing opportunities look fantastic!
