A Hobie 16 known as "Out on a Limb" after a violent pitchpole...

















Actually, there was no Pitch-Pole involved in this accident, just a very strong "freak" storm in Australia. The H16 was sitting next to a TheMightyHobie18 and the 18 never even moved. The owners called the fire department and asked them if they still got cats out of trees, but they had no idea it was a 400# cat! After removing it with a crane, the boat had to be scrapped due to extensive damage.

LOOK REALLY CLOSE AND YOU'LL SEE THAT IT'S STILL ON IT'S TRAILER!

At least they were insured!
