Hey guys,
I've been hired as senior race coach at Sea Cliff YC for this upcoming summer. I know its a few months away but i figured i'd put this out there.
I'm going to be brining my Nacra 6.0 w/new england spin. set up (hopefully i'll be changing to an F-18 sometime over the summer) out there for the summer and was wondering what Long Island cat sailing activity is like. Are there any regular fleet races or weekend races anywhere? How far would they be from Sea Cliff?
I've talked to someone out there a couple years ago as vice commodore of CT Hobie Fleet 136 trying to organize a fleet trip from CT to LI but I don't remember who that was.
Thanks and hopefully i'll get to get some sailing in out there sometime this summer.

Hey whats up?
My name is Mark. I am 17 and have been sailing out of Sea Cliff since I was 9. I am just transfering from Junior Sailng this year to Seahwanaka because they have a better racing program. I am still a member there and both my sisters are still sailing in the program. There are two Hobie 16's on the beach and one of them is mine. There isn't much of a fleet on LI sound and you have to scrounge around alittle to find regattas. I am doing the Statue race out of Sandy Hook in July. I just signed onto this catsailor thing to I could find some more regattas myself.
