I'm flying an Inter 18 chute on a Prindle 19. Can anyone out there tell me how high the hound is on your boat? I would want the height of the bail rather than the block itself. I'm currently using the hound that was placed for the boat's old Smyth chute, but it was unfortunately already a distant memory by the time I found the boat.

Thanks for any help.

Formula 18 class rule.

2.1.4 The maximum distance between the mast heel and the point over which the spinnaker can not be hoisted shall be 8150mm. See diagram.

For all the rules go to :

You also need to get the proper pole length with respect to where the sheeting block is. Or do you already have this ?

Someone has to measure the distance from the spi sheeting block to the tip of the spi pole.

Thanks Alan and Wouter...I'll measure the height per rules, and set the sheeting point as necessary. I'm pretty limited in sheeting to main beam, shroud, or rear beam, so I guess it's easy enough to change the length of the pole (as long as that means "shorter!" Thanks again
