Things to spot.


-1- the speed with which these boats close on a mark

-2- Big boats dive, see the spray fly 4 mtr's high in the air when one rounds the bottom mark

-3- Note the way they explain what happens on the race course by animations

-4- Note the refery / camera boat. Is that futuristic or what ?

-5- Note the amount of spectators on the sides of the harbour

-6- Note the crew members send out on the spinnaker pole to fix the furling drum and how he better wore swimming pants

-7- Note the sailing conditions in the final shot. Hurricane scale ?

All I can say is...Wow!
The spinnaker pole guy must have a velcro seat in those pants.

Talk about "pucker factor", that spi-fixer guy must be clenching that pole with his glutes!

Monohull sailors don't believe me when I tell them that your buns can increase in dexterity, just like your hands! Kind of a 3rd hand for gripping the deck lip... cat sailors know what I'm talking about.

When I deliver my "bun dexterity" lecture to women, they accuse me of trying to get in their pants... well OF COURSE I am, but ONLY FOR TRAINING PURPOSES!

Awesome video. Makes me feel a little weak in the knees just watching it. VERY exciting.

I saw a big screen there for the on-shore spectators. Was it just playing live the stuff happening on shore, or was it also able to play some live stuff from the race course, or maybe some raw, unedited video from the racing?

That video's been around awhile but it still gives me goose-bumps. THIS is what the America's Cup should be sailed on.

And to think about those guys that single-hand those monsters across the Atlantic....whew.
