I have a 1988 H16 with a jib that is most likely several years older. Since I have raked the mast back to where I can sheet the main block to block, I am not able to sheet in the jib near far enough to trim the jib for sailing close hauled. I seem to need either a new jib with a different cut or some low profile jib blocks or all three. Can anyone recommend a low profile jib car setup? I see components in the Hobie catalog (ie. Trentec Jib Traveler Cars) but I can't figure out the rest of the system. Are the newer jibs cut with a higher clew to eleviate this problem?

Take a look at the fifth message in this thread.

You can get the clew relocated so you have some adjustment.
