Posts: 833 St. Louis, MO, | It uses a 5 block on the top and a 3+2 block on the bottom. A regular 3 with a becket on the bottom with a 2 block attached to the becket. Mike Hill www.stlouiscats.com

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | Is the 10:1 now Class legal? (I am so out of the loop) Yes - comes standard on the new Nacra 20s (and F18s).

Posts: 96 Budapest, Hungary, Europe | Dave, lower block second picture: From the Nacra I got the 3 blocks (up, down and the extra small one) and the tapered main sheet in the box. After a half night of thinking finally I find out this solution to install… Best regards, Sanyi | | | Re: I20 Main sheet system?

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | Macca,
Most of the F18s are going to the thin round booms that couldn't possibly support this sheeting arrangement...we will, however, be considering it on our rectangular boomed boat - thanks for the tip!

Posts: 96 Budapest, Hungary, Europe | Dave, the attached blk is a 2650 BLK-40MM CARBO FIXED the lines are swifcords, maybe 9mm and 5mm. I also recommend you to order a pre-tapered sheet, because I agree with macca: the weak point of this solution is the tapered part of the sheet. It has to run smootly. As Macca recommended you can also use boom-integrated sheet, as most of the T sailors, but I think it also has some (more) disadvantage. First of all, you have to remove nerarly everything from the boom, clean it inside and also outside. Outhaull, rotator, negative rotator, etc. Inside - of course you need a place for the running block Ouside - yes, also - if there are rivet ends inside the boom, it can stop the running bolck. In 2004 I visited a Volvo T race in Germany, and I made a few pictures, like this, and some additional. That time I sailed an old Panthercraft Tornado so I converted my sheet soon. It is a 1:5 ouside x 1:2 inside. Regards, Sanyi | | |
