I'm almost one hundred percent sure that they're aluminum, but does anyone know for sure if the crossbars and tiller are aluminum or stainless steel? I'm asking because I'm upgrading the tiller conections to the H-20 style and my kit is short rivits. I'm not sure if I can use aluminum rivits or if I need to get some stainless ones.

Thanks,

Adam

My kit included stainless steel rivets. I am not really sure if they are needed or if you could replace them with aluminum rivets of the same size. Longer SS rivets are available - the problem is that it is very difficult to compress / pop those with normal hardware store tools.

Yes, my boat also has stainless steel rivets in the crossbars and tiller. I would reccomend the longer rivets though because of the size difference in the H20 style.
