Thanks to those who responded to my prior hull wear question!
Last year, a passenger accidentially stepped on the middle of the left hull about 12-18 inches in front of the forward pylon. Of course, the unmistakable sharp sound of a crack was heard. That area was soft afterwards and it has grown to be about 2 feet long.
Knowing I had damage there and as I had planned to install screw-in hull access ports, I went ahead and made the circular cuts 12 inches in front of the forward pylon. The fiberglass had separated from the foam core.
My question is, as I have created great temporary access to the damaged area, should I attempt to repair the damage from the exposed cross section cut in the hull or should I drill holes in the hull's damaged areas and inject an epoxy solution as is usually done? If I go with the cross section repair, has anyone ever done this and if so, what repair procedure/material(s) are recommended? Thanks
