Yessss indeed!

btw- Is it possible to have an online rigging thread? We have new guys coming onboard that don't have anyone near by to learn from. Maybe take some pix of the main shackle and knot? Show a detailed sequence of the spinnaker pole and rigging?

I'm willing to write the trim guide, but I would really appreciate it when somebody else would do the rigging manual and related pics.

Any takers ?

Can I get the whole serie of pics for our website at www.formula16.org ?

I would really like to have all the pics in the orginal size (High res and many KB's) That way we can better use them for leaflets and such.

I've already made the folder for this regatta in our gallery :

Robi, can you upload the orginals to your gallery so I can downlaod them from there ?

Hey Robi,
You sucked me in.
I thought you had a pic of your crew to show us. Maybe with your boat in the background.
I guess i'm just easily conned.

Phill

Wouter I would be delighted to do this. Can you PM me the specifics. I have been thinking about doing, but I seriously have no idea where to start. I will be out of the country next week. But it something I can work on when I get back. How soon do you want this?

Might start with the VectorWorks Blade Owner's Manual. I'd bet Matt would be delighted for someone to finish (and refine) his work. You can probably ask Matt for a softcopy and take it from there. These are what you do BEFORE you get to the launch point.

Then add appendicies:

* Ready to Sail, General Rigging
* Tuning based on weather/sea conditions

I was thinking about writing a I Taipan 4.9 rigging guide. I just purchased a used Taipan 4.9 so have just figured out to rig it. I was lucky there was another Taipan 4.9 owner near by I could quiz for the few things I could not figure out, but I can see the need for a good on-line guide.

Actually there is already a decent guide here:
http://www.geocities.com/f16hpclass/ahpc_taipan_49_how_to_rig.html
but it did not address spinnaker setup, which is the area I had questions about.

An example of my prior work is here:

Good idea! Do you suppose Matt would post a copy to the F16 site? It's a lot of typing otherwise.

Robi,

Actually I meant to say that I am willing to do a basic tuning and trimming document, completely by myself, but that other people should taken on the other area's like specific Blade rigging (also by themselfs)

I can't really plan my time at this time so I don't want to work on something together with other people. Chances are that I will just hold them up. Therefor I prefer that I do a piece completely by myself and have it finished by some date.

Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe you can do the basic rigging of the Blade ? Or hook up with the other interested US sailors like Pete ?

Yeah, once I get back from my trip I shall start working on this small project.
