Yet another reason to come to the
2006 Nacra North American Championships!
August 15-18, 2006 in Racine, WI
Hosted by the Catamaran Racing Association of Wisconsin (CRAW) and the Racine Yacht Club
Announcing the Harken Daily Bullet Awards
Like the saying goes, every cat has its day. Regatta champions just seem to have more of them! But oh, for the glorious single days when everything just seems to go right. Maybe it’s your perfect wind speed... maybe you’re surfing the waves like you were born in Hawaii, not Nebraska... maybe you just get lucky and are the first boat to a great lift. Whatever the reason, we’ve all had regattas where we could look back and say, “if only the whole regatta had been like that day….”
At the 2006 Nacra North American Championships, each day Harken (another great company located here in Wisconsin, by the way) is going to recognize those boats that had the best day, so even if you don’t win the whole thing, you’ve got something to remember that day where it all worked. Every night, the Harken Daily Bullet Award will go to the boat in each fleet that got the best results for the day. And for those of us who couldn’t find the boat speed in that wind, or couldn’t figure out how to sail the steep Lake Michigan waves, or never figured out the shifts, the Harken Daily Bullet winners will take a few minutes to tell the fleet what made the difference for them.
If you're not signed up yet, do it now! And don't forget Cat Fight VII (8/12-14) directly preceding the NA's in Racine at the same spectacular venue. Come to both for events for 7 full days of incredible cat racing. With all that, you’ll probably have at least a couple good days on the water. And with all the events planned, you always have a fun night on land.
