Wow! That is very cool. I was out surfing with my son last Saturday and thinking how cool it be to be out in the surf with my Nacra 5.0. Unfortunately, right now I lack the required skills and Torrey Pines State beach is a little crowded! The tourists and my boat wouldn't survive.

Where and how could you ever launch from Torrey Pines Beach? Years ago I sailed off Del Mar beach just north of T.P. but between the cliffs and seawalls, how could you access this stretch for cat sailing? Come to think of it, where can you launch ANYWHERE in North San Diego County?

Oh, there are several areas that a couple of determined cat sailors armed with a set of beach wheels could launch. Lifeguards get their jeeps, zodiacs and PWC's out there. Lots of fishermen launch all kinds of small boats from the south end of La Jolla Shores. It is not all cliffs and seawalls out here. I don't think the lifeguards will let you sail close to the beach here, too many swimmers. If you could, I think I would have seen cats out off a few local beaches.

Anyway, my point was that it was a cool video, it made me excited to be a cat owner/sailor (albeit a beginner). Thanks for posting it!
