The newbie guide says to stay on top of your torques. I have a torque wrench but can only use it on half the bolts on my Blade. The outboard bolts on the forward beam won't even accept a standard ratchet. This beam has holes drilled in it for the inboard bolts. Should/can I drill holes for the outboard bolts?

Of course the same question would apply for the outboard bolts on the back beam.

I beleive you can get an offset adapter that will work. I do not know the proper name for it, but we use it at work all the time for hard to reach bolts. I can take a photo of it tomorow for you.

Ah yes, the crowfoot wrench. That may work. It will lengthen the lever slightly but shouldn't be catastrophic.

[ (number of foot pounds needed)*12 ] / (length of wrench in inches) = how many pounds of pull on a tension scale used for weighing fish or checking rudder kick up resistance.
